I’m New Here

There are three ways you can get involved: Gatherings, Community Groups, and through Service and Ministry.
Gatherings
Weekly Worship Gathering: Every Sunday, 10:30 am
1600 E. Francisquito Ave., West Covina (one block west of Azusa Ave. at South Hills Academy Chapel)
You can reach us at 626.919.4178
What to expect:
Our services tend to be informal. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We come together to worship and learn more of power and beauty of the gospel, or good news of Jesus Christ. We worship, sing, pray, listen to the Word preached, encourage, laugh and open our hearts together. When you come, expect to get there about 10:25 to meet find a seat and meet a few others.
People…
Expect to be warmly welcomed. People will be sincerely interested in you.
Music…
Our musical style includes the ancient as well as the new. We enjoy a mixture of gospel praise, rock, and the ancient hymns.
Teaching…
We have a deep respect and love for the Bible at New Hope, and we believe that everything in it is really pointing to one thing–the gospel, or good news of Jesus. So each week, we teach and preach from the text of Scripture.
Communion…
Each week, believers are invited to partake of Lord’s Supper, as a way of remembering all that Christ has done for us and what he is for us. It is a pinnacle of our worship service and by participating in this way, our faith in him is nourished.
Food…
We admit it. We like food. But we see that both food and eating together in friendship and love are gifts from God to be enjoyed for his glory. Therefore, we have frequent opportunities to eat together–after services (just about every Sunday) and in homes. You are invited. We also see food as an opportunity to serve our community. Therefore, we seek to provide food for whoever has need.
Giving…
No one is ever pressured to give money. We see giving as a willing and joyful response to the goodness of God for the work of God in our community and to help those in need.
Kids…
Kids seem to really like coming to New Hope. You can bring them at 9:00 for a Bible study in their age group. We encourage parents of kids over 6 to bring them to worship service so they begin to hear the Word of God and be a part of family worship. There is also plenty of time and space for them to play after worship service with the other kids.
Community Service and Ministry
Some people just like to jump in and serve. Here are some ways you can get involved and serve immediately at New Hope: set up & break down (before and after worship service) community food bank, convalescent-home ministry (we get to know, encourage, and have Bible study with the people there),  sound and technical systems, web site development, and community evangelism, outreach and service.
